Not enough room for the stitching or not enough room for the framing. In a pinch, you can sew muslin onto the linen for framing. It will be hidden, but it will work. Of course, if you didn't leave enough room for the stitching, just put it through the shredder. ;)
The woman who does not frog says: I have looked at a pic of the finished design. If you leave out the two alphabets, bring the cartouche with the verse down a little bit then you will be able to fit the top border in. That's what I would do anyway. If you really want it to be as the original design then buy another piece of fabric and give this one to someone else to finish smaller! I feel your pain!!
